Principal's Message

Dear Families,
We are thrilled to share that our students had an incredible time at the UpStage workshop on Monday! They enjoyed exploring new dances, songs, and unleashing their theatrical talents. We are looking forward to making this a cherished annual event.
As a reminder, school photos are scheduled for next Tuesday, April 8th. Please ensure your child is dressed in full summer uniform. For girls, this includes either the school dress or the yellow shirt with emblem, paired with a black skirt or skort, white socks, and black school shoes. Hair ribbons should be in school colours. Boys should wear the yellow shirt with emblem, black shorts, grey or white socks, and black school shoes or boots. Kindly return all photo envelopes to the school office by Tuesday, so we can organise them into class groups for the photographers. Please ensure your child arrives at school on time, as photos will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.
Next week, our Year 6 students will attend the Peer Support camp at Moorbel Hall, led by Mrs Chalker, Miss Dixon, and Mrs Wright. This program is designed to prepare our students to lead Peer Support groups in Terms 2 and 3. It is a long-standing and valued part of our school culture, and we are excited for the experiences it will bring.
Friday will be a bustling day for our Primary students as they participate in the school Cross Country Carnival at Canowindra Showground. All students will be bused to the venue at 9:00 AM. We warmly welcome spectators and appreciate the fantastic response from volunteers who will assist at checkpoints. It promises to be a wonderful day for everyone!
Please note that the last day of term is next Friday, April 11th. As we approach the holidays, we encourage our students to march in the annual ANZAC Day parade on Friday, April 25th, in their winter uniform. Additionally, our P&C will host the annual Balloon Glow Trivia night to kick off Balloon Week festivities on Monday, April 28th. Gather a table of friends to support our P&C and enjoy a memorable evening! You can book your table via the QR code on the flyer.
We wish you all a fantastic week ahead
Kind regards,
Sharon Hawker
Principal
