Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for making our Education Week a very memorable one. It was great to see so many parents/ carers, grandparents etc. attend our Open Day. Every class I visited was buzzing with excitement and the students loved showing everyone the work they have been doing and it’s evident to see the progress and improvement in their books. I hope everyone enjoyed their sausage sandwich – thank you to our wonderful P&C and band of helpers who come together when called upon. It was wonderful to see parents and grandparents enjoying lunch with their children. Our School Counsellors conducted a ‘meet and greet’ in the hall. Parents were given the opportunity to give feedback about ways in which the school and counsellors can support parents with issues that may arise during primary school and beyond. I’ve included the QR code below so everyone can have the opportunity to complete the short questionnaire. The day concluded with the Colour Fun Run, around, over and through lots of ‘Olympic’ style obstacles. Thank you to everyone for providing equipment on the day; including hay bales, cargo nets, and tyres to name a few. Well done, it was a great day had by all.
Mrs Townsend and several Year 5 students will be visiting Canowindra pre-school today to help conduct Science experiments for National Science Week. This is becoming an annual event, and everyone is looking forward to the morning session at the pre-school.
Kinderbounce commences on Thursday. We have lots of very excited 5-year-olds ready to attend. The pre-school students will be joining Kindergarten from 1:50pm. Thank you to everyone who has registered and to Miss Lander for accommodating these new students.
District Athletics carnival is taking place on Friday in Cowra. Hopefully the weather will hold out. If there are any changes due to rain, a message will be sent out via Sentral Parent Portal App as soon as we hear anything.
Have a great week!
Kind regards
Sharon Hawker

The Resilience Project - Empathy
Did you know ….
80% of our happiness is derived from:
● Friendship.
● Health.
● Work fulfillment.
● Loving relationships.
● Spirituality.
When you do something kind for someone else your brain releases the love hormone oxytocin. This makes you feel good too. Check out Martin Heppell from The Resilience Project talking about being kind and the benefits of kindness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qO-ja3h5INc
