Week 7 Term 3 Newsletter 2024
Principal's Message
Welcome to Spring, can you believe it’s September? We have 4 weeks left of term and we are as busy as bees. Check -In assessment continues this week, thank you to Mrs Pengilly for coordinating this for us. All our students have been taking it very seriously and I’m sure they are all doing their very best.
Last week it was SASS recognition week. I’d like to publicly thank all our amazing SAS staff such as SLSOs, office staff and GA. You all do an amazing job and the school couldn’t run without you.
Yesterday Meerkat Productions performed ‘Timeless’ at our school based on the book by Kelly Canby. There was lots of laughter and singing from our students as they enjoyed the show. Leading up to the performance, all students discussed how precious time is and thought about things that made them happy.
Our final Kinderbounce session concludes on Thursday. It has been lovely getting to know some of our Kinders for 2025. We’re looking forward to meeting everyone in Term 4 for our official orientation program.
A reminder to our Year 4 parents/ carers – please return your permission notes and money for the Blue Mountains excursion. This needs to be in by this Friday so we can finalise numbers.
We are having a blitz on hats for the next 2 weeks. Students are required to wear hats throughout the school year whenever they play outside. Please make sure your child/ren are coming to school with a hat and one that is in good condition.
Have a great week!
Kind regards
Sharon Hawker
