Week 8 Term 3 Newsletter 2024
Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
It seems Canowindra students are in performance mode. Everyone is “gearing up” for our end of term "Air Carnivale" concert. We have two wonderful performances planned for Week 10, Thursday 26th September including a matinee at 12pm and an evening performance at 6pm. The matinee will be primarily for other schools and any family members that can’t make the evening performance. This year there will be no allocated seating with no limits to immediate family members. Therefore, the hall will be open at the back and there will be seating and standing room outside. I would also like to ask that only immediate family members attend the evening performance and if extended family members such as grandparents etc. could attend our matinee, that would be greatly appreciated.
All students are required to be dropped at school at 5:30pm sharp on Thursday afternoon for the 6pm performance. Students are encouraged to have an early dinner or bring some snacks, as they will be in their classrooms during the performance. Gold coin donations will be greatly received at level 3 gates upon arrival to cover costume costs and other incidentals occurred. We anticipate that the concert will conclude at about 7pm.
Thank you to all the Kinder parents for attending 3 Way interviews yesterday. It was great to see everyone so engaged with their child’s learning, they have all come such a long way and already showing signs of readiness for Year 1. Thanks to Miss Lander and Mrs Pengilly for their time as well.
Year 4 seem to be having a great time in the Blue Mountains, the weather has been divine and I’m sure there will be lots of tired legs after all the walking they have been doing. The bus is arriving home at 4pm this afternoon. If there are any major changes to the arrival time, this will be updated via Sentral, if not, see you at 4pm.
Stage 3 students are off to Forbes tomorrow for the Boys the Bush Engagement Day. This is the second year we have been invited and they have lots of activities and community involvement with Forbes and surrounding small schools. Final reminder for permission and money, due today.
Week 8 assembly will be taking place this Friday with 1/2 presenting. Please see award recipients in the newsletter.
Have a great week!
Kind regards
