Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,
I would like to take a moment to celebrate the achievements of our talented swimmers who represented our school at the State Swimming Championships in Sydney at the end of last term. Ryleigh Bowd made it to the finals, while Kai Thornberry finished in 30th place. Both swimmers achieved personal best times by significantly improving their previous records. Congratulations to Ryleigh and Kai on this remarkable accomplishment!
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Mrs Townsend for coordinating the visit from the Balloonists, which allowed our students to experience a hot air balloon up close. The students truly enjoyed this unique opportunity. Additionally, I would like to extend my appreciation to all the students who participated in the Balloon Parade—it was such a delightful event!
This Thursday, we will be holding the Primary Athletics running events at The Oval. Please ensure that all students are dropped off at the oval by 8:50 am. Bus students will also be taken directly to the oval. At the end of the day, all students will walk back to school for dismissal. We invite spectators to join us, and the weather is looking promising!
We are excited to announce that the P&C Mother’s Day stall will take place this Friday in the canteen, opening at 9:30 am. Students will have the opportunity to shop in their class groups throughout the morning, with gifts ranging from $1 to $15. Please remember to provide your child with a bag for their money or any leftover change. A special thank you to the organising committee—our students always look forward to selecting special gifts for their mums!
Lastly, good luck to our cricketers who will be heading to Perthville next Monday morning to compete in the fourth round of the PSSA knockout. This is a significant achievement, as it marks the furthest we have progressed in this competition in quite some time. We appreciate all the parents for their support and a big thank you to Miss Toovey, our dedicated coach!
Wishing all our wonderful mums a Happy Mother’s Day this Sunday! May you take some time to reflect on the incredible work you do in our busy world.
Have a fantastic week ahead!
Warn regards,
Sharon Hawker
Principal

Congratulations Ryleigh !!

EXCITING OOSH UPDATE!
We are thrilled to announce the introduction of an Outside School Hours (OOSH) program at our school! This initiative aims to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for our students before and after school hours.
To ensure the success and viability of this program, we need your support. We are currently seeking more children to enrol. A robust participation will not only enhance the program's offerings but also create a vibrant community where students can connect, learn, and have fun together.
If you are interested in enrolling your child or would like more information about the OOSH program, please use QR Code to register. Your involvement is crucial in making this program a valuable addition to our school community.
Thank you for your support!

Our Learner Qualities

We are proud to reintroduce our Visible Learning qualities, which are essential traits that empower our students to thrive both academically and personally. These qualities include:
I Am Resilient: Our students learn to bounce back from setbacks and challenges, developing persistence and determination in their pursuit of success.
I Am Creative: We encourage creativity by inspiring students to think outside the box and approach problems with innovative solutions.
I Seek Feedback: Our students understand the value of constructive feedback as a tool for growth, actively seeking input to improve their learning and performance.
I Embrace Challenge: We foster a growth mindset, encouraging students to take on challenges and view them as opportunities for learning and development.
I Am Self-motivated: Our students take ownership of their learning, setting personal goals and striving to achieve them with enthusiasm and commitment.
These Visible Learning qualities are integral to our educational approach, helping students become confident, capable learners who are prepared for future success. Together, we will cultivate these qualities to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.

● Your child(ren) will complete a variety of activities that introduce them to The Resilience Project’s key principles of Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy.
● The activities will give them a chance to practise these concepts, individually and in groups.
● Students will be encouraged to develop positive wellbeing habits by practising these concepts on a regular basis outside of their TRP lessons.
