Week 1 Term 4 Newsletter 2022
Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to Term 4! It’s hard to believe we are into the last term of the school year. Where has the year gone? Fortunately, we have had our first uninterrupted year for two years, and I think that’s why it seems to have gone so quickly. We have another busy term ahead, starting with our whole school Peer Support excursion to Orange Ten Pin Bowling and the Adventure Playground, which has taken place today. This is an amazing organisational exercise and I’d like to thank all the teachers and Year 6 leaders for making it such a great experience for everyone. There will be a full report in next week’s newsletter.
Kindergarten 2023 Orientation will commence next Monday 17th October at 1:50pm in the kindergarten room. We are looking forward to meeting everyone and running through our orientation program for the next 4 weeks. All prospective parents need to complete the online enrolment form on our school website before attending.
Year 6 Monster Marathon will be held next Friday on Level 3. Students raise money through sponsorship for each lap they do and the money goes towards a gift for the school which the cohort organises. Last year’s money is going toward the mural which is currently being painted on the wall of the hall on Level 3.
Eight lucky Year 5 students will be heading off the Australian National Field Days in Orange next Friday courtesy of Cabonne Council. We have been given free tickets for our students to attend. Mrs Pengilly and Mrs Howard will be accompanying the students on the day. Expression of interest from the students closes at the end of this week.
I know term 4 is busy for everyone, therefore, I've listed dates of our major events coming up this term for you to put onto your calendars, they can also be found on the Schoolzine calendar and upcoming events throughout the term:
School Fete - Friday 4th November
Year 3 excursion Wellington Caves - Friday 11th November
Whole School Concert – Thursday 24th November
Year 6 Burrendong excursion – Wed 7th – Fri 9th December

Finally, there is a large stockpile of lost property in the office which has accumulated over winter. If your child is missing any items, please feel free to call in and claim.
Have a wonderful term 4!
Kind regards
Sharon Hawker
