Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
A huge thank you to all our parents and cares who attended our 3 Way Interviews last week. It was great to see how much everyone valued the experience, particularly the students. Most of you should have received a brochure about our Learner Qualities and how we are implementing them into the classrooms to help our students become independent lifelong learners. Hopefully you will hear your children talking about these when they are at home.
Congratulations to all our Year 3 and 5 students who have completed NAPLAN relatively seamlessly. Particular thanks goes to Mrs Pengilly who has done a wonderful job coordinating the testing in our hall, and to all the teachers who helped supervise. There are still some catch up sessions this week for those students who were away, but the last test was conducted yesterday.
Our school has entered 4 teams in the Rugby League Gala Day (Peachy/ Richardson Shield) next Wednesday 29th March in Cowra. Mrs Howard and Miss Lander will be supervising the group. Permission was sent out via the app to those students who expressed an interest. A bus has been arranged for transport and parents are welcome to attend on the day.
Next Friday 31st March we will be holding our Primary Cross Country Carnival, Infants Easter Hat Parade and Assembly. This will be a busy day for al involved and we are providing a free sausage sizzle for students and parents. Please see flyer in the newsletter.
School photos are also coming up in a few weeks’ time, on Tuesday 4th April. Please return envelopes to the office before school photo day. Students will be required to wear their summer uniform. Please make sure students are in their best yellow shirt if they are going to wear one. New polos can be purchased and sent home with the kids if required. If you want to use your flood relief money please let the office know.
Crunch'n'Sip is back by popular demand this Friday. P&C are looking for volunteers. If you can help out, contact via their facebook page.
Have a great week!
Kind regards
Sharon Hawker

Class in Focus
Each week one of our classes will be chosen to showcase the great learning that is happening in our school. This week's class is : 5/6 Blue
This term in Geography, 5/6 Blue have been learning about the diverse features and characteristics of Antarctica.
Each week we have focused on a new aspect of Antarctica and how the environment has influenced people and how we manage it.
This has included occupations, flora and fauna, environmental conditions, safety regulations and shelters.
We are now using what we’ve learned to create our own websites through Google Sites to showcase our knowledge. We can’t wait to publish these to the Internet!
GE3.1 describes the diverse features and characteristics of places and environments
PBL Focus - CPS Wellbeing Program
Stewart House Donation Drive 2023
Every year, 1,600 public school children attend our safe haven next to Curl Curl beach at no cost to their parents or carers. During a 12-day stay, they are provided with dental, optical, hearing and medical screening and treatment.
Children participate in educational programs and excursions designed to develop their social and emotional skills, build self-esteem and improve their overall wellbeing.
This experience provides children with a much-needed break from their current circumstances. Our children are inspired to see beyond the present and to have real hope and positive aspirations for their future.
Please donate to Stewart House for a chance to win a $4,000 GIFT VOUCHER.
STEP 1 - Collect an envelope from the office at school.
STEP 2 - Fill out information on the envelope, insert a donation of at least $2 into the envelope and seal it.

The provider is working closely with the Early Childhood Regulator to confirm service approval for as many services as possible, however a start date for this service cannot be confirmed until service approval is finalised.
The Department is aware of the importance of this service for our community and is working to find an alternative arrangement to support families in the meantime.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Before and After School Care Program team at the Department of Education by Phone: 1300 244 145 or Email at: BASCReform@det.nsw.edu.au.
