Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
We had a very chilly start to the week, thankfully, it looks like the cold front is clearing and we will have sunny weather for the next few weeks. As the cold weather closes in, please make sure all clothing is labelled and that students have layers. Our classrooms are heated with reverse cycle air-conditions and are nice and warm but when the students head outside, they will need jumpers and coats. All clothing including jackets can be purchased at school.
Our PSSA sport continues today with our Boys’ soccer team playing against Cowra PS. Thanks to Miss Dixon and all our drivers for transporting the kids to Cowra. Hopefully they come home with a win.
Next week our PSSA Rugby League team will be playing at the Bathurst Classic. Permission notes will be sent out today. We’re sorry about the late notice, however, it was late information getting to schools. We will need the assistance of parents for transportation.
Final call for Aurora applications for any Year 4 students who would like to be considered for the gifted and talented online classroom at our school next year. These applications close next Monday 15th May and must be completed online by parents. See information in newsletter.
The P&C Mother’s Day stall is on this Friday. Students are encouraged to bring in some money and they can peruse the stall with their class and buy something nice for their mum or significant other. The gifts will cost between $2-$10 and most have been sourced locally.
A reminder to reply to absent text messages. Your response if free of charge and goes directly into Sentral as an explained absence. It is requirement by law to respond within 2 weeks of an absence, otherwise it is marked as unexplained and cannot be changed.
Have a great week!
Kind regards
Sharon Hawker

PSSA Cricket Rd 3
The cricket team played Orange Public School on Wednesday in very challenging and windy conditions. We bowled first and kept them to a respectable total, and our batters managed to last the entire 25 overs. Unfortunately some excellent Orange bowling and some bad luck meant we weren't able to match their score. All the players showed great sportsmanship and should be proud of themselves. Many thanks to all those family members that drove and supported, the day wouldn't have been possible without you!
