Principal's Message
Dear Parents/ Carers,
We’ve had another great start to the year considering the humid weather we have been experiencing. Thanks to all parents, teachers and students for making the start of the year so smooth. Kinder has settled in remarkably well, as have all the other classes, well done everyone! A friendly reminder to pack plenty of water, hats and ice bricks in lunch boxes. Water is the best way to hydrate throughout the day and water bottles are encouraged to be brought into the classroom, please ensure they only contain water. Poppas and juice are only allowed with lunch orders.
We try to keep costs of schooling to a minimum and our school provides most workbooks and equipment, particularly in Infants. Several classes require scrapbooks which can also be purchased from the office. All of Year 5 received new Chromebooks this year. For those families who “opted in” to this program, a friendly reminder that these can be paid off over the next 2 years.
Voluntary School Contributions have been capped at $55 for the first child, $45 second, $35 third….These are ready to be paid either online or at the front office. We appreciate your support in advance. Homework will begin next week for Year 1- 6, remember no homework in Weeks 1, 5 and last week of every term.
Our Primary swimming carnival is on this Friday. Congratulations to the new house captains who were voted in last week. Please see a list of recipients in the newsletter. Don’t forget students can dress in your house colours on Friday, it’s always a fun day! Thank you to everyone who has offered to help. We look forward to seeing helpers and spectators alike and thank you to Miss Dixon for all her organisation.
Breakfast Club operates 5 days per week every morning from 8.30-9am. This is for all students. The school welcomes any donations such as fresh fruit or breakfast supplies. Thank you for the donation of watermelons from Suzannah Tapim earlier this week.
Kind regards,
Sharon Hawker

Thank you to the parents who have offered to assist in helping out at the carnival. I will send home a program (helpers list) to the parents on Thursday who have gotten back to me. We currently have enough helpers to start the day, however, may need more as the day progresses.
2024 Classes
Don't they all look happy to be back, it's going to be a great year!
Attendance - Every day matters
Parents need to be aware that our school operates under very strict guidelines from the NSW government concerning the attendance of students. A child must attend school every day of a scheduled school year. It is a parent’s responsibility to ensure that this happens, and it is the school’s responsibility to keep accurate records of attendance. The school is not permitted to approve leave for any reason other than illness, exceptional family circumstances or occasional absence for elite sporting or cultural participation. This may seem severe, but all schools must adhere to these guidelines. Most leave, other than sick will be designated as “explained but unjustified”. Please inform the school of any absences or respond to text on the day of absence (return texts are free of charge).
